The Studio Almost Burnt To The Ground….
Yesterday a horrible thing happened that almost burnt down my house as well as the AG Studio.
I was in the studio yesterday when the lights started flickering then all the power went out. I walked out of the studio to see if it was a power outage. The odd thing was that the lights in the dining room and the kitchen as well as the tv in the living room was still on. My little sister told me that she saw the ceiling fan in the living room cave in a bit. I then heard a bunch of noise coming from the garage. I started to smell smoke and opened the door to go into the garage. I then saw an orange glow of fire and heard crackling. I quickly shut the door and ran out of the house with my little sister and called 911. By the time me and my sister were out of the house we could see the smoke rising from all over the house and the garage. About 7 fire trucks came shortly after and the firemen got up on top of the roof and started cutting away with their chainsaws. I stood on the sidewalk with the rest of my family watching the smoke billowing up from the house. I was already expecting the worst as I thought about the studio and how was everything going to be replaced. Everything to deal with Anime Genesis was going up in flames and there was nothing I could do about it I thought to myself.
So the fire was eventually put out and the firemen walked us through the house. Amazingly the fire only spread and was contained within the garage and didn’t spread throughout the rest of the house like it had looked like it did at first. The studio and the rest of the house was spared. There is no power in the studio though as well as half of the house is without power. We are in the process of cleaning up and repairing. But I am going to be without power in the studio and without a good stable internet connection for awhile and there may not be another Anime Genesis episode for quite some time. The important thing is that me and my family are safe. If you want to see pictures I took of the damage go here.

Wow! Good thing no one was hurt, take care and we’ll see you around when you’re good and ready!
All I can say is, Benu….You sure have a way of making a grand opening for this 2008. Kidding all aside….The most important thing is that you, your little sister, and family members are all right, and that the fire didn’t total your home.
There is nothing like losing it all like what I went through years ago there is I lost everything, including my family pictures which I can never replace again. If I only knew about keeping copies of that sort of stuff in a bank back then I would still have my photo books today.
Benu, I wish you and your family the best of luck and hope to hear you back on the air very soon.
Take care.
Dood, that sucks :S
Good thing you guys are ok, and that sucks bro that your garage caught fire and no more power. Any clue of how did it happen?
And hope to see you online again soon.
Laters man,
Oh my god, thank goodness that you and your family are alright. Don’t worry about AG for now, take your time to get everything organized. This is a message from everyone in the Ventrilo.
Ouch, that must have been really scary. I’m glad to hear you’re alright and your family is too, and that the damage was contained.
I hope you get back up and running soon!
Sorry to here that Benu. But remember that as long as you follow your heart in life, the path you follow will be true. You can also gain wisdom by losing something.
